How it shows up
- You often feel you are not "good enough" for the other person.
- You admire the other person a lot and are afraid of letting them down.
- You are always watching for small signals: the tone of a message, reply time, a change of mood.
- When something worries you, you ask a lot of questions or look for reassurance.
- You are very afraid of being abandoned, even when nothing suggests it.
- You need to hear regularly that you are loved and that someone cares.
3 tips to live this mode better
- Before seeking immediate reassurance, note what you're feeling and wait a few minutes — the worry often settles on its own.
- State explicitly what you need ("I need a message during the day") instead of waiting for the other to guess.
- Build sources of security outside the relationship (friends, activities) so it doesn't all rest on one bond.
